Mechanical Inspector

About the role

Stantec is seeking a Mechanical Inspector to join its Abu Dhabi team, responsible for overseeing construction and supervision of sewerage, drainage, water‑supply connections and related miscellaneous works.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise construction and installation of sewerage, drainage and water‑supply connections and miscellaneous works.
• Conduct survey work using modern instruments and maintain accurate site measurement records.
• Perform road works and permanent reinstatements while managing existing services.
• Carry out quality inspections in line with ISO 9000 standards and generate activity reports.
• Identify non‑conforming works, prepare corrective‑action reports and coordinate responses.
• Execute visual inspections and non‑destructive testing (NDT) as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction and supervision of sewerage, drainage and water‑supply projects.
• Technical qualification – Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Full knowledge of Abu Dhabi’s existing sewerage, drainage and water‑supply networks.
• Valid UAE driving licence.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
