Mechanical Maintenance Technician – LNG/ASR Plant

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our LNG and ASR plant team in Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for maintaining, overhauling and repairing a wide range of rotating and static equipment to ensure safe and reliable plant operation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, overhaul and repair on pumps, steam/gas turbines, compressors, fans, blowers, gearboxes, cranes and other major plant equipment.
• Dismantle, repair, assemble and align rotating equipment, heat exchangers, boilers, vessels and columns.
• Fabricate pipework from isometric drawings and operate simple machine tools such as grinders and impact wrenches.
• Conduct routine monitoring activities including vibration analysis and physical equipment checks.
• Prepare technical reports, alignment data and housekeeping records.

Required profile

• Secondary education or equivalent.
• At least 4 years of experience in mechanical repair and maintenance within the oil & gas or petrochemical industry.
• Familiarity with tolerance fits on shafts, bushings, bearings and keys.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Strong coordination skills.

Required skills

• Mechanical maintenance of pumps, turbines, compressors and rotating equipment.
• Heat exchanger repair and boiler maintenance.
• Pipework fabrication from isometric drawings.
• Use of pneumatic tools, high‑pressure jetting, drilling equipment, calipers, micrometers, vernier and clock gauges.
• Operation of grinding machines, air‑driven drills and impact wrenches.
• Vibration analysis and equipment condition monitoring.
