Mechanical QC Inspector – Material Inspection

About the role

Archirodon is seeking a reliable Mechanical QC Inspector (Material Inspector) to join its qualified team on a UAE project. The role supports the Mechanical QC Engineer in implementing quality control procedures for mechanical works.

Key responsibilities

• Review technical specifications, drawings and BOQ to identify quality and inspection requirements.
• Conduct site receiving inspections of mechanical materials and equipment for compliance.
• Perform fit‑up inspections and final dimensional verification before installation and welding.
• Prepare, file and retrieve inspection reports, test records and quality documentation.
• Witness and review work performed by third‑party testing, inspection and NDT companies.
• Attend client inspections and testing activities, raise punch‑list items and follow up on corrective actions.
• Assist construction personnel in identifying quality issues and non‑conformances.
• Ensure measuring and testing instruments are calibrated and functional.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Hands‑on experience inspecting piping, static and rotating equipment, valves and associated mechanical systems.

Required skills

• Piping, static equipment, rotating equipment and valve inspection.
• Fit‑up and dimensional verification.
• Non‑destructive testing (NDT) oversight.
• Calibration of measuring and testing instruments.
