About the role

Dubai British School Emirates Hills is seeking an enthusiastic Media and English Studies Teacher to join its senior school team from January 2027. The successful candidate will deliver GCSE and A Level curricula, fostering deep literary insight and media literacy across a diverse student body.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in English literature, language and Media Studies for GCSE and A Level.
• Guide students in analysing complex texts and constructing sophisticated written arguments.
• Oversee practical media projects, including film, audio, print and digital productions.
• Assess student work, provide constructive feedback and track progress against academic targets.
• Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development and extracurricular activities.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with relevant UK or equivalent teaching credentials.
• Proven experience teaching GCSE and A Level English and Media Studies.
• Track record of achieving strong academic results.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child protection policies.

Required skills

• Ability to teach both theoretical and practical aspects of media production.
