Medical General Insurance Manager – Dubai

About the role

We are looking for a results‑driven Medical General Insurance Manager to lead underwriting, policy administration and claims management across multiple insurance lines in Dubai. The role combines technical oversight, team leadership and business development to ensure portfolio profitability and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate complex risks, approve quotations and provide technical guidance for Property, Liability, Engineering, Marine, Motor Fleet and SME lines.
• Lead and mentor underwriting teams, conduct training and ensure high‑quality policy documentation.
• Negotiate premiums, terms and conditions with insurers and support sales teams in client meetings and renewals.
• Oversee policy issuance, endorsements, cancellations and refunds while ensuring compliance with KYC and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with sales to win new business, track market trends and drive cross‑selling and revenue growth initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in general insurance underwriting and portfolio management.
• Strong knowledge of multiple insurance lines, especially medical and SME coverage.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills with a track record of team development.
• Ability to negotiate with insurers and support sales in client‑facing situations.
• Solid understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in the UAE.
