Medical Robot Product Architect

About the role

This position is responsible for building the technical roadmap of the medical robot across the whole robot business unit and leading its product development, from concept design through to volume production, installation, training and product phase-out.

Key responsibilities

• Build the technical roadmap of the medical robot for the whole robot business unit
• Lead the system concept design and detailed design
• Lead R&D in optimising and changing detailed design based on unit test and system test results
• Lead the clinical trials and certification process
• Lead the NPI to establish stable volume production
• Lead installation, training, customer service and product phase-out tasks

Required profile

• PhD in engineering
• More than 8 years of medical robot R&D experience, including more than two full R&D projects for surgical robot systems
• Experience in MRI, CT, DSA and DR imaging technology and navigation technology
• Knowledge of the medical robot R&D process and product lifecycle management
• Knowledge of technical trends and competitors' strengths and weaknesses
• Proficiency in English

Required skills

• Precision mechatronics control and precision transfer structure design
• Preferred: clinical trial and certification (FDA, CE, CFDA), IEC requirements, surgical workflow, imaging post-processing software, optical/electromagnetic sensors, analog and digital circuits, AI algorithms and software platforms, strong publication record including patents
