MEP BIM Coordinator with QS Experience

About the role

An experienced MEP BIM Coordinator with 10 years of construction experience and working knowledge of Quantity Surveying (QS) is sought to coordinate MEP BIM models, ensure clash-free designs, support quantity take-offs and assist commercial teams on projects in Abu Dhabi. The role covers BIM coordination, constructability review, quantity validation and authority compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate and manage MEP BIM models (LOD 300-400) using Revit, coordinating them with architectural and structural disciplines
• Perform clash detection and resolution using Navisworks Manage and ensure BIM deliverables meet the BIM Execution Plan and project standards
• Prepare and review MEP shop drawings (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, electrical, ELV) and review technical submittals for constructability and compliance
• Extract MEP quantities from BIM models for BOQs and cost control, support quantity take-offs, measurement verification and variation assessments, and help validate subcontractor quantities and claims
• Ensure designs comply with Abu Dhabi authority requirements (ADDC, ADCD, Etihad Water & Electricity, Estidama) and support authority submissions and Estidama Pearl Rating compliance
• Support site execution teams, attend coordination meetings and site inspections, and resolve RFIs, clashes and site issues
• Support as-built models, O&M manuals and handover documentation

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 10 years of total experience in MEP BIM coordination
• Strong experience on Abu Dhabi construction projects
• Proven exposure to QS / quantity take-off and cost coordination
