MEP Draftsman – Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and experienced MEP Draftsman to join our team in Dubai. The role involves preparing accurate Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing drawings and coordinating closely with engineers, architects, and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed MEP shop, coordination, and as‑built drawings using AutoCAD, Revit and other drafting software, ensuring compliance with specifications, local regulations and industry standards.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers and MEP engineers to integrate building services and resolve design conflicts.
• Conduct site visits to collect measurements, verify existing conditions and ensure drawings reflect site requirements.
• Revise and update drawings based on client comments, consultant feedback and project modifications while maintaining proper document control.
• Assist in preparing technical submissions and support project teams during design and construction phases.
• Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders to facilitate smooth coordination and timely execution.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline (preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of proven experience in MEP drafting and coordination within construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems, drafting standards, construction methodologies and design coordination processes.
• Professional certifications or specialized training in HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical Systems or Building Services Design are an advantage.
• Excellent attention to detail, problem‑solving abilities and strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Experience with MEP drafting software and producing high‑quality technical drawings.
• Knowledge of applicable industry codes, standards and quality assurance procedures.
