MEP Manager

About the role

Wasael Property Management is hiring an MEP Manager in Abu Dhabi. The role manages the delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) and HVAC maintenance services across large-scale infrastructure and operational facilities, ensuring the reliability, safety and performance of critical building systems. It involves overseeing contractors, managing asset lifecycle strategies and maintaining compliance with engineering standards in a high-availability, 24/7 environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day MEP and HVAC maintenance delivery and ensure the reliability of power distribution, HVAC and building infrastructure
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programmes and coordinate maintenance to minimise disruption in live operations
• Oversee MEP contractors and service providers, their contractual obligations, SLAs and safety requirements; review technical submissions, drawings and documentation; monitor supplier performance
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations and operational procedures; support testing and commissioning of new or upgraded MEP systems
• Validate design solutions and recommend maintenance strategies, and uphold asset management and quality standards
• Monitor mechanical and electrical system performance and implement reliability engineering and maintenance optimisation strategies

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering
• Minimum 7-10 years in MEP operations or facilities management, including at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role
• Experience in large-scale, complex, operationally critical environments preferred
