MEP Project Manager – High‑Rise Buildings

About the role

Genfocus UAE is seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to lead MEP activities on high‑rise building projects across the UAE. The role involves overseeing planning, execution, coordination, testing, commissioning and handover of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and related building services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage overall MEP project activities including schedules, manpower planning, procurement and milestone delivery.
• Lead MEP teams and coordinate with main contractors, consultants, clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Oversee Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Firefighting, Fire Alarm, ELV, BMS and other building services.
• Review shop drawings, BIM models, material submittals, method statements, ITPs and technical documentation.
• Ensure installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, authority requirements and standards.
• Coordinate MEP work with architectural, structural, civil, façade and specialist works.
• Monitor project progress, quality, costs, variations, resources and subcontractor performance.
• Lead testing, commissioning, integrated systems testing and final handover.
• Maintain HSE, QA/QC and project documentation requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to MEP engineers, supervisors and site teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 10–12 years of overall MEP experience, with at least 5 years in a project manager or similar managerial role.
• Proven experience managing high‑rise building projects in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of MEP construction, coordination, testing and commissioning.
• Familiarity with UAE authority requirements and relevant engineering standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, coordination and problem‑solving abilities.
