MEP Site Engineer – Plumbing & Drainage

About the role

The MEP Site Engineer – Plumbing & Drainage is responsible for organizing, supervising, executing, monitoring and controlling plumbing and drainage installation activities under MEP works in residential, commercial and industrial buildings.

Key responsibilities

• Review approved construction drawings and ensure all required approvals and documentation are available on site.
• Derive the plumbing & drainage work schedule from the overall MEP project schedule and prepare for site execution.
• Plan site resources and material deliveries in line with the schedule.
• Manage site resources, execution progress and productivity of plumbing & drainage works.
• Assess material requirements on site and compare them with the bill of materials.
• Lead a team of supervisors, foremen and charge hands to meet approved timelines.
• Set targets, monitor and control works to stay within budgeted material, plant, equipment and labor quantities.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, client and authority engineers for interface and execution matters.
• Interact with stores to collect materials according to the project schedule.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 3 years of experience, or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in MEP plumbing & drainage installation for residential, commercial or industrial projects.
• At least 2 years of experience working on MEP projects in the UAE or other GCC countries.
• Experience in the ESCO industry is preferred.
