MEP Tendering & Contracts Manager

About the role

The client, a well‑established MEP contracting company in the UAE, is seeking a seasoned professional to lead its tendering department as the current manager retires. Reporting to the General Manager, you will oversee a team of engineers and manage the full tendering cycle from opportunity to award.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the MEP tendering and estimation team.
• Review, prepare and submit tenders, cost estimates, and commercial documents.
• Identify new tender opportunities and lead client discussions in Arabic and English.
• Negotiate contractual and commercial terms, focusing on FIDIC‑based contracts.
• Ensure accurate estimates that closely reflect actual project costs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Mechanical preferred).
• Minimum 15 years of experience in MEP tendering and contracts, especially high‑rise residential and commercial projects.
• In‑depth knowledge of FIDIC Red, Yellow and Silver Books, including risk assessment and claims.
• Fluency in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
• Proven leadership of technical teams and stable long‑term employment history.

Required skills

• Strong MS Office proficiency.
• AutoCAD competency.
• Experience with Kandy software (preferred).
