Merchandiser – Accessories

About the role

This position supports the Brand Manager in planning product and assortment strategies for accessories, ensuring financial targets are met across stores in the region. It involves coordinating allocation, delivery, forecasting, and budgeting for new store openings while maintaining a balanced collection at each location.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing merchandise plans based on historical trends, sales performance and brand outlook.
• Analyze store profiles using stock weeks, sales blend and inventory by grade to guide allocation decisions.
• Execute in‑season stock analysis, balancing, markdown management and performance reviews.
• Plan merchandise mix, initial allocations and reserve management according to pre‑distribution plans.
• Finalize seasonal assortment plans and size run books with the Senior Merchandiser.
• Monitor competitor product lines, pricing and category developments.
• Ensure compliance with stock ageing standards and maintain stock turns per company policy.
• Support margin negotiations, order placements and stock distribution decisions.
• Track best‑sellers and slow movers, taking timely actions to drive performance.
• Conduct market visits with the Brand Manager to assess store execution and gather intelligence.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of experience in retail merchandising or a similar fashion/lifestyle role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Operations, Merchandising or a related field (preferred).

Required skills

• Proficiency with inventory management systems.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Strong PowerPoint abilities.
