Merchant Settlements Associate

About the role

Finera is seeking a Merchant Settlements Associate to join its Finance team in Dubai. You will support the execution and accuracy of merchant settlement processes across multiple payment systems and internal financial records, working in a fast‑paced fintech environment that includes multi‑currency and digital asset settlements.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily merchant settlement processes, ensuring timely and accurate fund transfers.
• Monitor settlement flows across payment processors, banking partners, and internal systems.
• Prepare settlement amounts, deductions, and net payouts, and track settlement cycles.
• Reconcile settlement data across processors, internal systems, and reports, identifying and investigating discrepancies.
• Assist Account Management teams with merchant queries related to statements, FX conversions, fees, and payout timelines.
• Maintain accurate settlement records, support reporting, and help identify risks for audits.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce manual work.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in merchant settlements, payments operations, or financial operations.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and good communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively across teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with accounting or ERP systems such as Xero or NetSuite.
• Basic understanding of payment processing, settlement flows, and reconciliation.
