Methods & Lean Manufacturing Leader

About the role

The Industrial Methods & Lean Manufacturing Lead will drive the development, optimisation and continuous improvement of manufacturing operations, ensuring scalable, high‑quality production. You will champion Lean transformation, industrialise new products and embed standardised methods that support operational excellence and sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Define and continuously optimise manufacturing methods, process flows and workstation layouts to meet takt, quality, safety and ergonomics targets.
• Lead Lean deployment on the shop floor (5S, visual management, standard work, problem‑solving routines) and ensure sustainability through regular audits.
• Conduct time studies, line balancing and capacity modelling to support ramp‑up, staffing plans and S&OP inputs.
• Own and maintain process documentation with strong change control, including standard work, work instructions and control points.
• Drive productivity and cost reductions through structured continuous‑improvement projects with measurable ROI.
• Support introduction of new equipment, tooling and fixtures, ensuring robust process qualification and safe industrialisation.
• Coach team leaders and operators in Lean principles and daily CI habits to build a continuous‑improvement culture.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of experience in industrial engineering, methods or Lean roles within manufacturing environments such as electronics, aerospace or industrial sectors.
• Proven track record of improving flow and stability (OEE, cycle time, throughput, labour productivity) using Lean tools and data‑driven analysis.
• Hands‑on experience with structured CI methodologies (A3, DMAIC, Kaizen) and shop‑floor implementation.
• Solid understanding of quality fundamentals, including process capability, control plans and defect containment.
• Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent demonstrated expertise in leading Kaizen initiatives.
