Microservices & API Developer (Node.js, Azure, Kubernetes)

About the role

We are looking for a Microservices & API Developer to design, build and maintain scalable backend services for our e‑commerce platform. The role focuses on Node.js/TypeScript development, Azure cloud infrastructure and containerised deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement micro‑services using Node.js and TypeScript following REST and OpenAPI standards.
• Deploy, manage and scale containerised applications on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Publish, secure and monitor APIs with Azure API Management, implementing OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect and Azure AD.
• Integrate backend services with internal and external systems using synchronous and asynchronous patterns.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions and ensure code quality through testing and reviews.
• Implement logging, monitoring and tracing using Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
• Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps and architecture teams to deliver features independently.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of hands‑on backend development with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Proven experience designing micro‑services and RESTful APIs.
• Strong knowledge of Azure services (AKS, API Management, Key Vault) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, SQL/NoSQL databases and API security best practices.
• Understanding of e‑commerce and order‑management workflows.
