Microsoft Dynamics 365 Data Migration Consultant

About the role

An experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Data Migration Consultant is sought to support data migration for Dynamics 365 implementation and transformation projects. The consultant handles extraction, cleansing, transformation, mapping, migration and validation of data from legacy systems to Dynamics 365, working closely with functional consultants, technical teams and business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse source systems, assess data quality and define migration requirements
• Develop and run migration strategies, plans and methodologies
• Profile, cleanse, deduplicate, map, transform and validate data, using the Data Management Framework, Data Entities and Data Management packages
• Support finance modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Fixed Assets
• Prepare mapping specifications, templates, reconciliation reports and technical documentation
• Coordinate validation with stakeholders, run trial migrations, mock loads and testing, and support cutover and go-live
• Resolve migration errors and ensure data integrity and compliance with data governance
• Report progress, flag risks and recommend mitigations

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, information systems or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in data migration, data management or ERP implementation
• Hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 data migration, preferably Finance and Operations or Finance
• Willingness to align with Dubai/UAE business hours and attend client meetings and milestones

Required skills

• Strong understanding of the data migration lifecycle (extraction, transformation, loading, reconciliation, validation)
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with Excel-based migration templates and large datasets
• Preferred: Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, SAP, Oracle, Dynamics AX, ETL tools, Azure Data Factory, Azure, and full-cycle ERP implementations
