Migration and Transformation Architect, Google Cloud, EMEA

About the role

Google Cloud is hiring a Migration and Transformation Architect for its Migrate, Modernize and Build (MMB) practice. The role acts as the single architectural point of accountability for the largest, most complex multi-workload enterprise migrations (Oracle, SAP, VMware, Mainframes) and leads the transformation of legacy estates into executable Google Cloud transformations. It focuses on strategic engagements for customers in Poland, MENA and the Nordics, with flexibility across EMEA locations (London, Dubai, Amsterdam, Warsaw, Stockholm).

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Account Teams and enterprise C-suites to turn complex legacy estates into cloud transformations.
• Evaluate Engagement Requests against STRIKE criteria and design target architectures and migration blueprints.
• Build comprehensive TCO/ROI business cases and package dormant workloads into actionable plans.
• Coordinate Customer Engineering Specialists, Sales Specialists, Google Cloud Consulting and System Integrators to remove technical silos.
• Drive process, architecture and engineering evolution so organizations can scale efficiently, reduce technical debt and innovate faster.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience in enterprise IT architecture, cloud infrastructure or a related customer-facing technical role.
• Experience leading data center offloading and enterprise migrations (VMs, containers, VMware, Oracle/SAP, mainframes).
• Experience working with C-suite stakeholders and leading cross-functional teams.
• Preferred: Master's degree in a technical field, experience with generic and specialized migration tools, Core Architecture methodologies, and a track record on AI and large-scale cloud adoptions at major cloud providers.

Required skills

• Cloud migration tools (e.g. Migration Center) and specialized tools (VMware vMotion, Oracle ZDM, Database DMA/DMS, Dual Run)
• Core Architecture methodologies (Migrate for Compute Engine, Cloud Migration Discovery/Planning, Architecting for Resilience)
• Architecture ecosystem covering security, compliance, governance, networking, data analytics and TCO/ROI estimation

What we offer

• Salary range: Poland PLN 700,000 - 715,000 per year, Sweden SEK 1,680,000 - 1,720,000 per year, plus a 25% bonus target, equity and benefits.
