Migration DBA Consultant

About the role

Ultimate HR Solutions is looking for an experienced Migration DBA Consultant to support data migration, database management and master data harmonization within a large-scale digital transformation project. The role involves managing and validating large datasets across multiple systems.

Key responsibilities

• Compare and analyze large datasets to identify data differences and inconsistencies.
• Clean, prepare and harmonize master data across multiple countries and systems.
• Support data migration from legacy applications to cloud-based systems and SAP S/4HANA.
• Execute data loading, validation and reconciliation to ensure data accuracy and prevent data loss.
• Work with SQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server and Azure Synapse for data extraction and analysis.
• Use Python and Power BI for data scripting, reporting and visualization.
• Identify and implement improvements in data quality and migration processes.

Required profile

• 2-8 years of experience in database administration, data analysis or data migration.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Required skills

• SQL and PostgreSQL, including queries, schema design and performance optimization.
• Microsoft SQL Server and cloud databases such as Azure Synapse.
• Data migration, cleansing, validation and reconciliation.
• Advanced Excel for handling large datasets.
• Python for data scripting and Power BI for reporting.
• Understanding of Master Data Management (MDM) and data integration.

Preferred: experience migrating legacy data to SAP S/4HANA, knowledge of IBM iSeries (AS/400), DB2 or other legacy ERP systems, multi-country migration projects, and familiarity with cloud data architecture and master data domains such as products, suppliers, sites, employees and promotions.
