MLRO & Compliance Manager – Lead AML/CTF & Corporate Compliance

About the role

The Compliance Manager & MLRO will lead Big Ticket’s compliance and financial‑crime function, ensuring adherence to UAE AML and Counter‑Terrorism Financing regulations while promoting a culture of ethics and integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development and continuous improvement of the AML/CTF compliance framework.
• Act as the appointed Money Laundering Reporting Officer, handling statutory reporting and regulator liaison.
• Oversee customer due‑diligence, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring and risk assessments for customers and third parties.
• Develop, deliver and maintain AML/CTF training and awareness programmes for all staff.
• Design and manage the fraud risk management framework, monitoring trends and investigating suspected fraud.
• Maintain corporate compliance programmes covering anti‑bribery, gifts & entertainment, whistleblowing and conflicts of interest.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Risk Management or related field.
• Professional certification in AML/Financial Crime (e.g., CAMS, ICA) preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in a managerial AML/CTF or financial‑crime role, with proven experience as an MLRO or senior compliance officer.
• Experience in regulated sectors such as gaming, lottery, fintech or financial services is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of UAE AML and Counter‑Terrorism Financing legislation and regulatory expectations.
• In‑depth understanding of financial‑crime risk management, including sanctions, CDD, EDD and transaction monitoring.
• Familiarity with corporate compliance frameworks covering anti‑bribery, gifts & entertainment, whistleblowing and conflicts of interest.
• Excellent analytical, investigative and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder‑management skills for interaction with regulators and senior management.
• Leadership and sound judgement to foster a culture of compliance and ethical conduct.
