Mobile Network Engineer (Txm)

About the role

A young UAE-based company, recruiting for its client Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company PJSC (du and Virgin Mobile), is looking for a Mobile Network Engineer in Dubai. The role covers network surveillance, incident handling and traffic re-engineering of mobile and wireless networks, working in a 24x7x365 environment.

Key responsibilities

• Network and service surveillance and team handling during shifts
• Report critical and major issues to management and escalate them to service partners and stakeholders according to the company escalation matrix
• Perform traffic re-engineering, link capacity upgrades and node version upgrades to fix KPI degradation caused by wireless network limitations
• Initiate and manage performance and acceptance requests
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and rectify wireless network issues escalated from other departments
• Handle and manage network incidents within SLA

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunication Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in NOC operations and in wireless networks in telecom/communications
• Proven expertise in network troubleshooting and incident resolution
• Ability to work effectively in a 24x7x365 environment
• Technical/process leader for the operation and maintenance of mobile and wireless networks

Required skills

• Monitoring tools: Huawei NCE, NFMP, PRTG, Cisco Prime, Ericsson ENM, Huawei U2020, Nokia NetAct
• Programming and automation with hands-on Python, Power BI and SQL
• Radio Access Network: NSN/Huawei/Ericsson 2G/3G/4G/5G, Cisco Wi-Fi, RTN transmission and AAA
• Wireless products from Huawei, Nokia and Cisco Wi-Fi access points (indoor and outdoor)
• Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel automation and VBA scripting
