Modern Workplace Architect

About the role

DXC Technology is looking for a Modern Workplace Architect to design and govern secure, scalable enterprise workplace solutions as part of a major transformation programme. The role blends technical architecture, transformation planning, solution consulting and stakeholder advisory across Microsoft 365, endpoint management and security.

Key responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end Modern Workplace architectures covering collaboration, endpoints, identity, security, service desk and field support.
• Define target‑state architectures, transformation roadmaps, migration strategies and transition plans.
• Establish architectural standards, governance frameworks and reference designs, providing technical oversight throughout design, implementation and migration.
• Architect enterprise solutions across Microsoft 365, Teams, Exchange (online and on‑premises), SharePoint Online and OneDrive, and define integration between cloud and on‑premises services.
• Design endpoint management solutions using Ivanti Unified Endpoint Management for Windows 11 and Red Hat Linux devices, including dual‑boot environments.
• Embed Zero Trust principles, design identity and access controls with Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access and Identity Protection, and define endpoint security controls with Microsoft Defender.
• Lead discovery workshops, translate business requirements into architecture recommendations, develop business cases and present roadmaps to executive and technical stakeholders.
• Evaluate and drive adoption of Microsoft Copilot and AI‑enabled productivity capabilities, and identify automation opportunities using workplace analytics and device intelligence.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and governing enterprise Modern Workplace solutions.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive and Exchange (online and on‑premises).
• Hands‑on experience with Ivanti Unified Endpoint Management and on‑premises endpoint management.
• Knowledge of Windows 11, Red Hat Linux, dual‑boot environments and Group Policy.
• Experience delivering workplace transformation and migration programmes.
• Excellent executive communication, stakeholder management and solution consulting skills.
