Motor Control Specialist – Siemens Starters Engineer

About the role

The Motor Control Specialist will provide hands‑on expertise in Siemens motor control and starter systems for projects across the UAE. The role involves installing, commissioning, and troubleshooting direct‑on‑line and reversing starter circuits to ensure reliable operation of industrial motors.

Key responsibilities

• Install, wire, test and commission Siemens DOL and forward/reverse motor starter circuits.
• Diagnose and resolve faults on live motor control systems by reading schematics, tracing circuits and performing root‑cause analysis.
• Build, modify and repair motor control panels and motor control centres (MCCs).
• Perform electrical tests such as continuity, insulation resistance, phase rotation and functional checks before energisation.
• Verify installations against schematics, wiring diagrams and I/O schedules, and update drawings as needed.
• Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and liaise with Siemens technical support for component‑level issues.
• Produce fault reports, test records and as‑built documentation while adhering to safety procedures (LOTO, permit‑to‑work).
• Provide technical guidance to site technicians and subcontractors and travel to client sites within the UAE and region.

Required profile

• Proven experience with Siemens motor control and starter equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting intermittent and recurring faults.
• Familiarity with electrical safety standards and lock‑out/tag‑out procedures.

• Control relays (24 V DC, 110 V AC), timers, auxiliary contacts, interposing relays
• Overload relays and motor protection devices
• Electrical testing: continuity, insulation resistance, phase rotation, functional testing
