Multi‑Skilled Technician HVAC and Refrigeration

About the role

The Multi‑Skilled Technician supports guest comfort by responding to repair requests, communicating with guests to resolve maintenance issues, and performing preventive maintenance on hotel equipment and systems.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues promptly.
• Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning and lubrication of tools, kitchen, and mechanical‑room equipment.
• Inspect, troubleshoot and repair air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and pneumatic/electronic systems.
• Carry out surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs, and replace light bulbs and A/C filters.
• Use lockout/tagout procedures, maintain inventory, and requisition parts as needed.
• Perform interior and exterior landscaping repairs and maintain sprinkler systems.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Some experience in general maintenance, preferably in a hotel environment.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb and work on stairs, ladders, and service ramps.

Required skills

• Air‑conditioning and refrigeration systems.
• Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Plumbing repairs (toilets, drains).
• Pneumatic/electronic controls and carpentry basics.
• Painting, drywall, and wood‑trim repair.
• Landscaping and sprinkler system maintenance.
• Basic computer operation for HVAC scheduling.
