Multi‑Skilled Technician (HVAC & Refrigeration)

About the role

The Multi‑Skilled Technician supports guest satisfaction by responding to repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring all building systems operate safely and efficiently at our Four Points by Sheraton property in Sharjah.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests, communicate solutions, and log daily activities for shift hand‑over.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and kitchen equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and visual inspections.
• Carry out surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs, and complete clean‑up of work areas.
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair equipment such as plumbing fixtures, electrical components, lighting, A/C filters, and landscaping sprinkler systems.
• Use Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work and maintain accurate inventory of parts and supplies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Some experience in general maintenance, surface preparation, painting, or hotel engineering.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb unassisted and work on stairs, ladders, and varied heights.

Required skills

• HVAC and refrigeration systems knowledge.
• Electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and pneumatic/electronic system basics.
• Carpentry, painting, drywall, and wood‑trim repair.
• Landscaping and sprinkler system maintenance.
• Lockout/Tagout safety procedures.
• Basic computer skills for inputting schedules and temperature changes.
