National Assistant Planner

About the role

The National Assistant Planner supports Al Futtaim Group’s planning function by creating accurate financial, sales and inventory plans across multiple channels and markets. Working closely with Merchandising, Allocation, Retail and Supply Chain teams, the role ensures plans are aligned, executed and drive strong business performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the annual business plan by market and business unit, including weekly WSSI for Clothing & Home, Food and total business.
• Forecast weekly, monthly and seasonal sales, margin, markdown cost and closing stock, incorporating past performance, trends and business drivers.
• Support business‑unit sales planning, monitor performance against plan and recommend corrective actions.
• Plan and manage markdowns, price phasing and promotional analysis to protect margin while achieving sell‑through targets.
• Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports covering sales, margin, stock and key KPIs, and highlight risks or opportunities.
• Collaborate with Finance to validate forecasts and financial submissions, and partner with Merchandising on markdown strategy.

Required profile

• Ability to deliver sales and cash‑margin targets while managing markdown spend.
• Strong analytical mindset to track performance versus plan and provide insight‑driven recommendations.
• Experience in building and maintaining financial projections for gross profit, margin and inventory.
• Effective cross‑functional collaboration with merchandising, retail, e‑commerce and supply‑chain teams.
