NDT Inspector – Pipeline Installation & Inspection

About the role

The NDT Inspector will support pipeline installation and inspection projects across the oil and gas sector. You will ensure welding, coating and overall construction activities meet strict quality, safety and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform on‑site inspection of pipeline installation, maintenance and repair activities.
• Monitor welding processes, verify compliance with approved procedures and industry standards.
• Conduct coating inspections, including surface preparation, application monitoring and final assessment.
• Review inspection and test plans (ITPs), drawings, procedures and technical documentation.
• Witness and document field testing such as hydrostatic testing and non‑destructive examination (NDE).
• Identify and report non‑conformances, quality concerns and installation issues.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate field records.
• Coordinate with project managers, construction teams, contractors and customers to resolve technical issues.

Required profile

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Technology, Quality Assurance or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of field experience in pipeline installation and inspection.
• Preferred certifications: CSWIP 3.1, AWS CWI, NACE Coating Inspector Level 1 or 2.
• Familiarity with API, ASME, ISO and customer‑specific pipeline standards.
