Neonatology Specialist – Full‑Time

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Neonatology Specialist to join our Abu Dhabi hospital. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality clinical care to newborns in the NICU and nursery, ensuring patient safety and adherence to governance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, ethical clinical services to neonates, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Conduct daily rounds in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and nursery, perform examinations and procedures.
• Order and interpret laboratory and radiological investigations, prescribe medications, and advise nursing and dietary care.
• Offer on‑call emergency coverage for neonatal emergencies and attend difficult deliveries or cesarean sections.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with clinical governance, JCI, ISO, and local health regulations.
• Participate in departmental committees, quality‑assurance monitoring, and continuous professional development activities.

Required profile

• Medical degree with board certification or equivalent in Neonatology.
• Experience in managing patients in NICU and neonatal units.
• Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, and continuous learning.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Clinical assessment and management of newborns.
• Interpretation of laboratory and imaging results.
