Network Operations Manager

About the role

The Network Operations Manager is responsible for the efficient daily management of activities within the Network Operations Centre at Etihad's Abu Dhabi hub. This role ensures safe, secure and cost‑effective operation of the airline’s network while supporting the Network Control Duty Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily activities of the Network Operations Centre, making key decisions and solving complex issues.
• Support the Network Control Duty Manager across ground, catering, cargo, ADA, ATC and ADNOC functions.
• Address safety and security risks in line with the Emergency Response Plan and Safety Management System.
• Supervise teams to maintain full situational awareness of Etihad operations.
• Ensure compliance with company Operations Manuals and GCAA regulations.
• Act as escalation point for all stakeholders and manage operational events with safety and cost considerations.
• Escalate significant incidents through the Incident Management System and produce operational evaluations, daily risk briefings and event logs.
• Develop and maintain contingency plans for network disruptions.
• Provide feedback and support to teams to enable autonomous, efficient operations.
• Lead activation of Disruption Recovery and Emergency Response programmes.

Required profile

• Degree‑level education.
• Minimum 8 years of airline operations experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role within a hub‑based airline.
• Strong understanding of safety, security and regulatory requirements in aviation.
• Proven ability to manage multi‑disciplinary teams in a high‑pressure environment.
