NICU Nurse - Dubai

About the role

An international hospital in Dubai is recruiting experienced, Western-trained NICU nurses to provide specialised care to critically ill and premature newborns. The nurse works in a multidisciplinary team within a Level III/IV NICU in a globally accredited facility equipped with modern neonatal care technology.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver expert nursing care to premature and critically ill neonates in a Level III/IV NICU setting.
• Monitor vital signs, manage ventilators, administer medications and perform life-saving interventions as needed.
• Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
• Provide emotional support and education to families during a sensitive and stressful time.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation using electronic medical records.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in neonatal care, safety protocols and infection control standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent from a recognised institution.
• Current and valid nursing licence in the home country.
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a Level III or Level IV NICU.
• Trained and licensed in the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Canada or the USA is preferred.
• Willingness to work in Dubai.

Required skills

• BLS and NRP certification; ACLS is a plus.
• Excellent critical thinking, communication and clinical decision-making skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural, patient-centred environment.
