Nurse Coordinator – Patient Support Program (Abu Dhabi)

About the role

The Patient Support Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care in the community setting, helping patients with chronic diseases achieve optimal health and quality of life. The role involves home visits, telephonic follow‑up, medication administration and coordination with hospitals, pharmacies and distributors.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct telephonic follow‑up consultations and monitor vital signs, blood glucose and pain levels during home care.
• Administer medications (injections, IVs, inhalation, oral, infusions, rectal) and provide pain‑management support.
• Educate patients and families, perform wound assessments and dressing changes.
• Carry out cardiac assessments, mental‑status evaluations and advanced foot‑care when needed.
• Supervise part‑time nurses, prepare monthly monitoring reports and quarterly quality‑assurance reports, and maintain electronic patient files.

Required profile

• BS in Nursing with at least 2 years of healthcare experience.
• Licensed by the UAE Ministry of Health/DHA/DOH and enrolled in the UAE nurses’ syndicate.
• Excellent command of English and strong clinical nursing knowledge.

Required skills

• Medication administration (IV, injections, inhalation, oral, infusions, rectal).
• Wound assessment and dressing changes.
• Cardiac and mental‑status assessments.
• Pharmacovigilance reporting and adverse‑event documentation.
• Advanced foot‑care knowledge (optional but valued).
