Nursing Coordinator – Endoscopy

About the role

The Nursing Coordinator – Endoscopy is responsible for supervising and coordinating all nursing activities within the endoscopy department of Royal Khalifa City Hospital. The role ensures appropriate staffing, patient placement, equipment maintenance, and compliance with safety, infection‑control and OSH policies.

Key responsibilities

• Directly supervise and coordinate daily nursing operations, including scheduling, roster adjustments and coverage for absenteeism.
• Manage patient placement, bed utilization and equipment allocation based on triage and clinical needs.
• Oversee inventory control to prevent shortages or overstocking of supplies and medications.
• Coordinate ambulance movements, patient transfers in and out of the hospital, and act as manager of the Disaster Control Center during emergencies.
• Ensure preventive maintenance of equipment, report failures and liaise with department heads.
• Facilitate orientation and training for new nursing staff and conduct regular nursing rounds to assess patient care.
• Participate in hospital committees and assist in developing unit policies, fire safety, infection control and waste‑management procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing.
• Minimum 5 years experience in an outpatient setting, with at least 2 years as an In‑charge Nurse or equivalent.
• Fluent spoken and written English; Arabic is advantageous.
• Demonstrated decision‑making and leadership abilities.
