Obstetrics & Gynecology Consultant (Al Dhafra Region)

About the role

SEHA is seeking an experienced Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynecology to provide comprehensive, high-quality care to women across obstetric and gynecological services in the Al Dhafra region. The Consultant manages complex pregnancies and gynecological conditions, performs appropriate surgical and obstetric procedures, responds to emergencies and contributes to multidisciplinary patient care in line with hospital standards and UAE regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide consultation, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up for obstetric and gynecological patients
• Manage normal and high-risk pregnancies, labor, delivery and obstetric emergencies
• Diagnose and manage a broad range of gynecological conditions
• Perform obstetric and gynecological procedures and surgeries within approved clinical privileges
• Provide inpatient, outpatient, emergency and on-call services as required
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on appropriate clinical standards
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, coordinated care
• Take part in clinical governance, quality improvement, audits and patient-safety initiatives
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
• Support clinical education, supervision and development of junior medical staff where required

Required profile

• Medical degree from a recognized institution
• Recognized postgraduate qualification or board certification in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Eligible for appointment and licensing at Consultant level under the applicable DOH Abu Dhabi requirements
• Appropriate post-specialization clinical experience in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Strong experience managing complex obstetric and gynecological cases
• Excellent communication, clinical judgment and teamwork skills
• Willingness to work in the Al Dhafra region, Abu Dhabi
