Office of Endowment and Resources Development Director

About the role

The incumbent will lead the Endowment and Resources Development function at Zayed University, shaping strategies, fundraising campaigns and donor programmes to ensure long-term financial sustainability and alignment with the university’s academic and research priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and monitor the department’s strategy, KPIs and budget to support ZU’s strategic objectives.
• Design and implement long‑term endowment and resource development initiatives, including grants, corporate partnerships and philanthropic contributions.
• Lead alumni engagement, fundraising campaigns, stewardship programmes and corporate collaborations to secure sustained financial support.
• Oversee financial performance of endowment funds, ensuring effective allocation and maximising returns.
• Manage departmental staffing, performance objectives and succession planning.

Required profile

• Master’s degree with at least 15 years of experience (including 10 years in a managerial role) or PhD with at least 13 years of experience (including 8 years in a managerial role).
• Proven track record in endowment, fundraising, resource development or related senior leadership positions.
• Strong understanding of higher‑education financial sustainability and strategic planning.
