Offshore HSE Inspector

About the role

The Offshore HSE Inspector will ensure that marine units and barges engaged on projects comply with contractual, safety and regulatory requirements. The role involves auditing, educating field personnel and coordinating with clients to maintain high compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform barge audits to verify compliance with contractual and safety requirements.
• Plan, coordinate and monitor the audit schedule for barges.
• Educate field personnel on rules, regulations and statutory requirements.
• Verify implementation of company lifting standards and quality procedures on‑board.
• Inspect barge certificates, equipment and HSE fixed or mobile equipment (LSA/FFA) against ADNOC and ARAMCO standards.
• Attend client inspections, build rapport with client inspectors and document findings.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis of NCRs and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• NEBOSH or IOSH Diploma (or equivalent HSE certification).
• Minimum 6 years of on‑shore/off‑shore experience in the oil & gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of ADNOC and ARAMCO HSE standards.
• Fluent written and spoken English with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multinational, multicultural environment.

Required skills

• NEBOSH certification.
• IOSH certification.
• Knowledge of ADNOC HSE standards.
• Knowledge of ARAMCO HSE standards.
• Experience with LSA/FFA equipment inspections.
