Offshore Methods & Installation Engineer

About the role

Saipem is seeking an experienced Offshore Methods and Installation Engineer to lead the preparation and execution of installation packages for shallow‑water projects such as S‑Lay, jacket, deck, cable and structure installations. The role will be based in Abu Dhabi and will involve close collaboration with naval, structural and pipelay analysis teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare complete engineering installation packages, including procedures, rigging drawings, check‑list dossiers and trial lift & load‑out procedures.
• Coordinate with installation analysis teams (naval, structural, pipelay) and review analysis and design reports.
• Manage the operation phase, covering material procurement, vessel mobilization and subcontractor contracts.
• Provide technical assistance to vessel management during mobilization, testing and installation, both onshore and offshore.
• Lead a team of junior engineers and draftsmen in the preparation of installation documents.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of experience in installation engineering, including offshore and yard operations.
• Master’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (or equivalent engineering degree).
• Proven experience with offshore transportation and installation projects.
