Offshore Structural Engineer – Abu Dhabi

About the role

We are looking for an Offshore Structural Engineer to join Technip Energies in Abu Dhabi, reporting to the Head of Department. The role involves designing and analysing offshore structures for energy projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design fixed offshore structures such as jackets, topsides, offshore bridges and flare structures.
• Develop secondary structures including structural joints, beams, pipe supports, monorails, access platforms and lifting padeyes.
• Perform in‑service, pre‑service and accidental analyses (fatigue, pushover, load‑out, transportation, lift, stability, boat impact, seismic, blast).
• Ensure compliance with international codes and client specifications (API RP 2A, API RP 2EQ, ISO 19902, DNVGL‑RP‑C203, AISC, ADNOC, ARAMCO, QP/QG).
• Prepare wind‑vortex shedding checks, J‑tube and riser‑clamp designs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (mandatory); Master’s degree in Structural Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of offshore structural engineering experience.
• Proven ability to design new offshore structures and modify existing ones.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and knowledge of offshore design codes.
• Professional proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Offshore structural design software: SACS, USFOS.
• Advanced Excel with VBA for automation (advantageous).
• Experience with API RP 2A, API RP 2EQ, ISO 19902, DNVGL‑RP‑C203, AISC standards.
• Familiarity with ADNOC, ARAMCO and QP/QG specifications.
