On‑Site Planning Manager – Port Construction

About the role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Planning Manager to lead large‑scale port construction projects in Abu Dhabi. The role will involve preparing detailed schedules, tracking progress, coordinating with stakeholders and ensuring timely delivery in compliance with client and authority requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, update and monitor detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 (mandatory) and MS Project (additional), covering all construction phases from mobilisation to handover.
• Prepare cost‑loaded and resource‑loaded programmes, change logs, KPIs and extension‑of‑time (EOT) claims.
• Coordinate with site engineers, procurement and subcontractors to align with the baseline schedule and identify major risks.
• Produce look‑ahead programmes, progress reports, mitigation and recovery plans for any delays.
• Conduct regular site visits to verify actual progress against planned timelines and integrate authority NOC approvals, traffic diversion and permit processes.
• Perform delay analysis (Time Impact, Window, As‑Planned vs As‑Built, etc.) and support contractual correspondence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (civil or construction management preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in construction planning, with at least 5 years in a similar senior role on UAE port or marine projects.
• Involvement in at least two Abu Dhabi projects within the last 10 years.
• Strong English communication skills and thorough knowledge of Abu Dhabi authority procedures and standards.
