Operations Manager – Infrastructure Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for an Operations Manager to lead the maintenance of our infrastructure assets in Abu Dhabi. The role is responsible for ensuring reliability, efficiency and longevity of bridges, roads and related facilities through strategic planning and team coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive infrastructure maintenance strategies and plans.
• Manage and coordinate maintenance teams to ensure timely completion of projects and tasks.
• Oversee the budget for maintenance operations, optimizing resource allocation and cost‑effectiveness.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure operational continuity.
• Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement in maintenance processes.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align maintenance activities with overall organisational goals.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors and service providers.
• Implement and oversee preventive maintenance programmes to minimise downtime and extend asset life.
• Prepare and present regular reports on maintenance activities, budget and performance to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in infrastructure maintenance operations with a proven track record.
• Strong project‑management skills and proficiency with relevant software tools.
• In‑depth knowledge of infrastructure maintenance systems and best practices.
• Experience in budgeting, financial management and resource allocation.
• Excellent risk‑assessment and mitigation capabilities.
• Proven ability to lead and manage large teams effectively.
• Professional certifications such as PMP or Facilities Management are preferred.
• Willingness to work night shifts.
