Operations Readiness and Assurance Engineer

About the role

This position is responsible for ensuring that all facilities, systems, personnel and processes are fully prepared for safe, efficient and reliable start‑up and operations for a high‑profile client. The role bridges project delivery and asset operations, guaranteeing a seamless handover to ADNOC Operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Operations Readiness & Assurance (OR&A) plan, defining readiness criteria aligned with ADNOC standards.
• Coordinate and participate in OR&A stage‑gate reviews (FEL, detailed engineering, pre‑commissioning, start‑up) and verify readiness before progressing.
• Provide operational input during design reviews, ensuring operability, maintainability and safety are embedded.
• Prepare and validate operating, maintenance and emergency procedures, SIMOPS plans and ensure documentation meets ADNOC standards.
• Lead pre‑start‑up safety reviews, track system completions using tools such as WinPCS, ICAPS or GoTechnology, and support system handover.
• Maintain OR&A risk registers, ensure compliance with ADNOC HSE standards and manage stakeholder coordination across EPCM, construction and commissioning teams.

Required profile

• Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in Oil & Gas EPC/EPCM projects, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or preservation role.
• Proven experience on major CAPEX projects, preferably with ADNOC or equivalent operators.
• Strong understanding of operations‑readiness frameworks, commissioning and start‑up processes, and asset lifecycle management.
