Operator, Cementing

About the role

The Cementing Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining equipment that pumps cement into wells, ensuring the structural integrity of the wellbore. The role involves precise calculations, equipment handling, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate cement pumping and mixing equipment, including blenders, liquid additive metering systems, centrifugal pumps and data acquisition systems.
• Set up and run Automatic Density Control (ADC) software to monitor and mix cement slurries accurately.
• Assist with rig‑up and rig‑down of cementing service equipment at well sites.
• Transport bulk equipment to and from the plant, and support loading operations.
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections and maintain bulk equipment.
• Troubleshoot cementing equipment and coordinate maintenance or repairs.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and support HSE culture.
• Provide input for progress reports and KPI checklists.

Required profile

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience operating cementing equipment in oil‑field or related environments.
• Basic proficiency in English (written and spoken).
• Ability to perform calculations for cement mix volumes and additives.

Required skills

• Operation of cement pumping and mixing equipment (blenders, additive metering systems, centrifugal pumps).
• Use of Automatic Density Control (ADC) software.
• Data acquisition system handling.
• Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.
