OSH Officer - Risk and Contingency Management

About the role

The OSH Officer – Risk and Contingency Management supports Etihad Airways’ safety programme by delivering risk assessments, coordinating emergency drills and managing first‑aid and fire‑warden resources. Reporting to the Manager OSH Monitoring and Performance, the role ensures the airline is prepared for identified hazards and emergencies, safeguarding staff and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate and support risk assessments across all Etihad Airways activities.
• Identify hazards, evaluate risks and drive corrective actions to mitigation.
• Plan, coordinate and assess emergency response drills for all facilities.
• Produce clear drill assessment reports and support incident investigations.
• Monitor findings, follow‑up on action plans and ensure timely closure.
• Assist with OSH audit and inspection implementation.
• Ensure compliance with Etihad OSH standards and local regulations.
• Provide accurate safety performance and risk status reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of safety experience in a high‑risk industry.
• NEBOSH certificate or equivalent OSH qualification (mandatory).
• Experience with emergency response and contingency plans.
• Proven competence as a risk assessor or facilitator (advantageous).
• Lead auditor training (e.g., RBAQSA, BARS, ISO) is desirable.
• First‑aider and/or fire‑warden experience is a plus.
