About the role
Kpler is looking for an OSINT Analyst to join its Maritime Domain Awareness team in Dubai. You will act as the human adjudication layer, turning ambiguous automated detections into verified vessel identities with full evidential support.
Key responsibilities
- Adjudicate low‑confidence or dark contacts by attaching a verified name, IMO, owner, operator and flag.
- Investigate AIS gaps, GNSS spoofing, MMSI duplication, name/flag changes and vessel substitution.
- Apply open‑source intelligence techniques to satellite and optical imagery, ship‑photo databases, vessel registries, corporate ownership records, port‑state and terminal data, classification and insurance sources.
- Reconstruct pattern‑of‑life and ownership history to produce a complete, traceable identification record.
- Provide ground‑truth cases to data‑science teams to improve detection models.
- Maintain sourcing and data‑integrity standards across the team.
Required profile
- 3+ years of experience in intelligence, investigations, maritime analysis or a related OSINT discipline.
- Proven ability to turn fragmentary evidence into defensible conclusions.
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
