Outlet Cashier at Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah

About the role

The Outlet Cashier works in the restaurant and bar outlets of Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah, handling all guest payments and ensuring accurate cash management.

Key responsibilities

• Perform cashiering functions at restaurant and bar outlets, including processing cash, checks and credit card transactions.
• Reconcile daily cash receipts, investigate discrepancies and produce remittance reports.
• Safeguard the cashier’s house fund according to hotel policies.
• Enforce credit policies and ensure all settled guest checks are fully documented.
• Assist guests with payment inquiries, provide receipts and resolve billing issues courteously.
• Collaborate with front office and accounting to address billing discrepancies and improve guest satisfaction.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and implementing corrective actions.
• Train new cashiers on cash handling procedures, POS systems and customer service standards.

Required profile

• Proficient in processing cash transactions accurately, making change and balancing cash drawers.
• Ability to deliver friendly, efficient service and resolve guest inquiries.
• Capable of detecting counterfeit currency and verifying checks and credit card transactions.

Required skills

• Operating electronic cash registers or POS systems.
• Cash handling procedures and documentation.
