Outlet Cashier – Restaurant & Bar

About the role

The Outlet Cashier will be the primary point of contact for guests making payments at the hotel’s restaurant and bar outlets. This role ensures accurate cash handling, supports guest satisfaction, and collaborates with other departments to resolve billing issues.

Key responsibilities

• Perform cashiering functions at restaurant and bar outlets, handling cash, checks and POS transactions.
• Reconcile daily cash receipts and transactions, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Safeguard the cashier’s house fund in line with hotel policies.
• Enforce credit policies and ensure all settled guest checks are fully documented.
• Prepare and submit cashier’s remittance reports, depositing cash receipts in the designated drop box at shift end.
• Assist guests with payment inquiries, provide receipts, and address billing issues courteously.
• Maintain compliance with hotel financial procedures, regulatory requirements, and record‑keeping standards.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and implementing corrective actions.
• Train new cashiers on cash handling procedures, POS systems, and customer service standards.
• Identify opportunities to streamline cash handling processes and collaborate on improvements.

Required profile

• Proficient in processing cash transactions accurately, including receiving payments, making change and balancing cash drawers.
• Ability to deliver friendly, efficient service and resolve guest inquiries professionally.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to investigate and correct discrepancies.
• Good organizational skills for maintaining documentation and supporting audit activities.
• Willingness to stay updated on financial policies, procedures and system changes.
