Pain Medicine Consultant – UAE (Full‑time)

About the role

A leading internationally accredited healthcare provider in the UAE is expanding its multidisciplinary pain management services and seeks a highly skilled Pain Medicine Consultant. Key responsibilities

• Assess and manage acute, chronic, cancer‑related, neuropathic and musculoskeletal pain conditions.
• Perform image‑guided pain procedures such as nerve blocks, epidural injections, radio‑frequency ablation and joint interventions.
• Develop multimodal pain management plans that include medication optimisation, rehabilitation, psychology and lifestyle support.
• Coordinate care with orthopaedics, neurology, oncology, rheumatology and rehabilitation teams.
• Educate patients on long‑term pain control, functional restoration and safe analgesic use while maintaining high standards for consent, documentation and outcome tracking.

Required profile

• Internationally trained Pain Medicine Consultant with recognised qualifications (e.g., American Board, UK CCT, FRCA/FFPMRCA, European Diploma, Royal College Canada, Australian Fellowship, Arab Board).
• Strong clinical judgement, commitment to evidence‑based practice and patient safety.
• Excellent communication skills for culturally diverse patients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to adapt to UAE healthcare regulations, documentation standards and hospital governance.

Required skills

• Development of multimodal pain management plans.
