Painter / Polisher

About the role

The Painter / Polisher is responsible for maintaining the appearance of hotel interiors by applying and renewing paint, stain and other finishes. Working on walls, ceilings and furniture, the role ensures surfaces are properly prepared, finished and protected in accordance with Marriott standards.

Key responsibilities

• Apply paint, stain, primers and sealers to walls, ceilings and furniture using brushes, rollers or spray guns.
• Remove old finishes through stripping, sanding, wire‑brushing, burning or abrasive blasting.
• Cover surfaces for protection, post appropriate paint signage and clean up tools and equipment after each job.
• Coordinate with vendors to adjust colors, stains or varnishes as required.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies, reporting hazards and maintaining a professional appearance.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in painting, polishing or related surface‑finishing work.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.

Required skills

• Paint application using brushes, rollers or spray guns.
• Surface preparation techniques such as sanding, stripping and abrasive blasting.
