Paralegal

About the role

JLL, a global provider of real estate and investment management services, is hiring a Paralegal on site in Dubai. The role supports the legal team with document preparation, filing, research and administrative tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the legal team in drafting low-level legal documents, letters and contracts under supervision, proof-reading and creating deviation tables for contracts.
• Manage and update corporate and legal documentation, charts and databases, and carry out necessary filings.
• Organize and maintain physical and electronic files.
• Carry out legal research and track changes in laws, regulations and court procedures.
• Help prepare project files and presentations, and liaise with the EMEA/Global legal team on data and information collection projects.
• Process invoices for the legal team and provide general administrative support.
• Liaise with external legal counsel, public relations officers and other stakeholders on corporate and case-related tasks.
• Track deadlines, monitor progress and coordinate with team members to complete tasks on time.
• Manage the team's calendar and set up appointments.

Required profile

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field; Paralegal certification preferred.
• 3-4 years of experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
• Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures.
• Excellent research and writing skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Desired: proficiency in English and Arabic, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Familiarity with legal research tools such as LexisNexis
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
