Paralegal / Support Lawyer (Transactional) – Dubai

About the role

The UAE Paralegal / Support Lawyer will support transactional matters for Linklaters' Dubai office, initially focusing on banking practice and later providing global matter support as part of the Matter Optimisation team. The role requires delivering high‑quality work in both English and Arabic, collaborating with senior lawyers and clients to meet client‑led deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and assist in the delivery of transactional matters, ensuring tasks are communicated to the Paralegals & Support Lawyers management team.
• Manage service delivery, monitor capacity, generate workflow, and respond to changing client instructions.
• Maintain up‑to‑date subject‑matter knowledge and share insights across the team.
• Utilise legal technology platforms, including virtual data rooms, AI tools, and due‑diligence systems.
• Provide assistance to the Practice, liaising professionally with lawyers and clients on specific projects.
• Support fellow paralegals with best‑practice guidance and work autonomously when required.

Required profile

• Fluent in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
• LPC / SQE or foreign qualified lawyer.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a banking paralegal in an international law firm or leading financial institution.
• Experience with banking and finance transactions, document management, due diligence and execution processes.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
