Part‑Time Senior Accountant (Temporary)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant on a part‑time, temporary basis to lead core accounting operations, financial reporting and statutory compliance for our Dubai office. The role will own month‑end and year‑end closes, support audits and provide management reporting in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, pre‑payments and adjustments.
• Manage general ledger, bank and inter‑company reconciliations.
• Maintain fixed‑asset registers, including additions, disposals and depreciation schedules.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including aging reviews.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end closing activities and produce accurate financial statements in line with IFRS.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports with variance analysis.
• Support budgeting, cash‑flow forecasting and management reporting.
• Act as primary contact for external and internal audits, providing schedules and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax filings and internal financial controls.
• Identify and implement process improvements and participate in ERP system implementations.
• Guide and review the work of junior accounting staff and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s degree advantageous).
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CA or CPA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and solid analytical judgment.
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
